FERRET SIGNS HELLMOUTH!
Ferret Records

Ferret Music has announced the signing of Michigan’s Hellmouth.  With nods to bands like Celtic Frost, Black Flag, Venom, Black Sabbath and Disfear, Hellmouth is drawing from its members' past while carving its own disgusting sound.  Hellmouth's grim reality could only have been spawned from the likes of Detroit. With the worst economy in the country, corrupt politicians and Ted Nugent, it's no wonder the members band’s music turned out this raw and punishing. The band have sold out of their nine song demo released earlier this year and are currently writing for their Ferret debut to be released later this year.  Speaking on the signing Alex from the band said “Ferret's a mature label that can really help us out with publicity, shows and most importantly getting our music heard by as many people as possible. On the flipside, I think our diligence as a band will in turn help ferret by pushing Hellmouth into the public as much as possible. and most importantly by recording a fucking evil monster of an album.”   http://www.myspace.com/666hellmouth

HASTE THE DAY RELEASE NEW SONG ON ITUNES!
Solid State Records

Solid State Records’ Haste the Day has announced that on September 9th they will release their first single, “Madman” via I-Tunes.  The song is from their forthcoming album Dreamer, which is due out October 14th.  Singer Stephen Keech commented, “The entire album is about the fall of man and humanity’s imperfections.  The song ‘Madman’ plays off of that.  It’s about a man who is stuck in a jail cell because he’s been ratted out by his accomplice and how he goes nuts, writing on the walls and trying to deal with the guilt and feeling of betrayal.”

A video clip has been posted on the band’s YouTube site in promotion of the single that can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usoldk_3tDg.  For album updates, additional tour dates and more, check out http://www.myspace.com/hastetheday

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA SIGNS WITH FERRET MUSIC
Ferret Records

The Devil Wears Prada have announced their signing to Ferret Music today.  The band shared the good news from the stage while playing their first set on Warped Tour in Pomona, CA.  The band will appear on Warped Tour for the rest of the summer.  Speaking on the signing Jeremy DePoyster (guitar/vocals) of the band said “It’s the best situation we could ask for.  Ferret is run like an independent label where you know everyone there and work with them but they have the resources of a major label.  We’ve also become really good friends with Carl (Severson of Ferret) and everyone there really believes in what we are doing.  It helps when the people you work with and who work for you are just as stoked on your music as you are.”  Carl Severson of Ferret echoed the sentiment by saying “The band and I met over a year a ago and just clicked. It was the right vibe, reminiscent of the kinship I've felt with some of the long time ferret artists.”

The Devil Wears Prada have been riding high over the last couple of years with their newest album Plagues scanning over 65,000 in the U.S. and their first album Dear Love… at over 50,000 copies.  Multi page features have run recently in Alternative Press, Revolver and Metal Edge among other places.  Most recently the band composed of DePoyster, Daniel Williams (drums), Mike Hranica (vocals), Chris Rubey (guitar), Andy Trick (bass) and James Baney (keys) have returned from a headlining run of the UK and a slot of the prestigious Download Festival.  They plan to begin recording a new album at the end of the year for a 2009 release.
